Those born under the Taurus sign are known for their proclivity towards excess and material goods, so it should come as no surprise that their style is downright fabulous.  Here are a few of our faves:

Cher

There are no words that can do Cher’s extensive wardrobe justice, so “iconic” will just have to do. As if her Twitter feed and velvety voice don’t bring us enough joy as it is, she then brings her dazzlingly eccentric choice of attire to the stage to multiply appreciation levels tenfold. One more time now just for good measure: iconic.

Joe Keery

As lovable bad boy Steve on Netflix’s Stranger Things, Joe Keery has found quite the fan base. Given that Steve epitomises 80s cool, it would be somewhat awkward if Keery himself couldn’t live up to his onscreen persona IRL, but it seems we have nothing to worry about; judging by his Instagram he can rock a turtleneck like the best of ‘em.

Princess Charlotte

Yes, she may only be four, but Princess Charlotte has already cemented her status as Style Icon. Vogue has coined the term “Charlotte Effect” to refer to the subsequent sell-out of practically every item she’s pictured in, and she’s also established her own signature look before most kids can even spell their name. If you’re looking for some inspiration for how to wear blue Mary Janes and matching smock dresses, she’s your girl.

Kehlani

Kehlani has established herself as self-assured and audacious when it comes to fashion, and it’s hard to think of a better duo of qualities to embrace in terms of clothes.  She proves that, regardless of whether she’s donning a simple tee and denim dungarees, a full-on ball gown, or a few strategically positioned strokes of body paint, style is far more than a selection of labels: it’s a state of mind.

Adele

A national treasure for all the right reasons: not only does she have a voice sent from the Heavens (and I’m not even religious), she has the wardrobe to match. As well-versed in glittering gowns, as she is in slouchy sweats, there’s literally nothing she can’t pull off.  Even a Titanic costume.

Sam Smith

You know how they call great athletes MVPs? And wonderful ballet dancers primas? And really clever people geniuses? Well, there should be a word for people who are great at wearing half-open shirts. And then Sam Smith should put it in his Instagram bio. It’s a skill that most can only dream of possessing, but he’s got it down to a fine art.

Rosario Dawson

Throughout my 20-odd years on this earth, I’ve learnt that some people are just cool. And these people will make anything within their nearby vicinity look cool too. Rosario Dawson is one of those people (as proven by this sweatband and bunches combo). Basically, what I’m getting at, is that if you’re ever wondering how to pull off a long floaty dress in a cool-not-princessy way, then Dawson’s Instagram is the only resource you’ll need.

Queen Elizabeth II

Anyone who goes to the trouble of having custom-made umbrellas to coordinate with every outfit she wears deserves a spot on a best-dressed list and the Queen of England is no exception. At a time when black is the chicest colour out there, we can only admire someone so ardently committed to colours, and the brighter the better.  Oh, and she also sat front row at London Fashion Week with Anna Wintour, so there’s that too.
